About Mary Ball

Mary is a registered dietitian nutritionist and a care manager who has been part of the medical community for over eight years. She has been with Rochester Primary Care for over five years and loves the “you’re-a-name, not-a-number” feel that Rochester Primary Care is able to offer to their patients.

Mary graduated from Wayne State University with her BS in Food and Nutrition Science as well as completed a Coordinated Program in Dietetics. Upon completion of her boards, she continued to specialize in chronic conditions surrounding the primary care population.

As someone who is constantly fighting the media’s influence on what is "healthy", Mary individualizes lifestyle plans for patients who are busy, who are aware of basic nutrition but are confused by the conflicting information that the media puts out (i.e., how many eggs are okay or butter vs. substitute spreads), and how to find ways to stick with it so it doesn’t get overwhelming. She is familiar with a variety of cultural needs as well and has many resources available for developing plans.

When she is not working directly with patients or coordinating care for quality management behind the scenes, Mary loves to bake, play board games with her family, read/watch Harry Potter, or hang out with her awesome kids and husband.
